Week 28

Science:

Monday we will do a little catch up after having to push the test back a couple of days. We will look at the last few study guide items and then play a Jeopardy review game to get ready for the test.

Tuesday is test day!

Wednesday students will receive their 3rd textbook of the year -- Earth Science. We will be discussing chapter 1 lesson 1 and completing the text questions together.

Thursday we will begin by doing some review of Monday's lesson with the whiteboards before beginning our study of lesson 2.

Friday it's on to lesson 3. Students will be doing some coloring and labeling of the earth's layers.

Social Studies:

Monday students will step back in time and be asked to create posters convincing others to join them on the dangerous journey on one of America's famous trails west -- the Oregon, Mormon or Santa Fe.

Tuesday discussion will center around the Texas Revolution and the Battle of the Alamo.

Wednesday students will complete a review handout over section 2 in class and we will discuss the war with Mexico and the Treaty of Guadalupe.

Thursday we will review Wednesday's lesson. Following, we will begin the Oregon Trail game...a fun way to increase student awareness of the many difficult decisions faced by western pioneers.

Friday we will finish playing Oregon Trail .
