Week 4:

Science:

Monday we will be outside collecting data for our Flying Candy Lab.

Tuesday we will discuss the rules for graphing and do some practice. Time will also be spent analyzing misleading graphs and discussing the reasons as to why this form of inaccurate graphing exists.

Wednesday will be spent doing more practice applying the rules of graphing.

Thursday the students will graph the data they collected on Monday from the Flying Candy Lab. We will also discuss the rules for writing a conclusion.

Friday we will spend some time reviewing all six steps of the scientific method. The study guide will be distributed. TEST ON MONDAY!!!

Social Studies:

Monday we will finish our ch. 4 sect. 1 discussion and grade the section 1 questions assigned from the book. We will spend the remainder of the class period working on the 13 colonies map.

Tuesday we will finish the 13 colonies map and students will partake in the Navigation Acts activity.

Wednesday we will discuss section 2. Students will have a few questions assigned from the textbook.

Thursday we will grade the section 2 questions in class and discuss section 3. No homework.

Friday students will be going to the computer lab to begin their projects. Students will be assigned 1 of the 3 colonial regions to research and create a powerpoint outlining how the geography of their respective colonial region shaped the economy. Students need to bring a flash drive to save their projects.
