Week 5:

It's a short week this week for students -- just four days. Reminder -- our last magazine fundraiser will be this Wednesday.

Science:

Monday - TEST DAY! Students will be bringing home a paper that explains how to access our new science textbook online.

Tuesday students will receive their first of four textbooks. Our new books are little different. Students will be writing in their books and allowed to keep them following an end of a unit. The first textbook issued will be Chemistry.

Wednesday we will be discussing Chapter 1 Lesson 1. Discussion will center around "what is matter?" Students will be required to complete the in text questions if not completed in class.

Thursday we will go over the in text questions and discuss. Students will receive the Chapter 1 Lesson 2 text questions for homework.

Friday - NO SCHOOL!

Social Studies:

Monday we are heading to the library to begin our project. The plan was to get started last week, but Mrs. Gearhardt visited our classroom Friday so things have been pushed up a day. Students will be researching an assigned colonial region and creating a powerpoint discussing how the economy of their respective region was influenced by the geography.

Tuesday students will continue their project.

Wednesday students will be finishing their projects.

Thursday students will have the opportunity to present their powerpoints to their classmates.

Friday - NO SCHOOL!
