Week 11:

Grade cards go home this Tuesday. Parent/Teacher Conferences are November 7th & 9th. If you would like to meet with us, please call the front office and schedule an appointment.

Science:

Monday 2 things are due -- the How to Read the Periodic Table handout and the Beanium Lab handout from Thursday. We will discuss these 2 things and then watch a Bill Nye on Atoms.

Tuesday students will begin the Adopt-an-Element activity. They will be assigned an element to research using the internet. They will then create an informational poster about their element and we will be creating a wall size periodic table of elements.

Wednesday students will continue work on the Adopt-an-Element activity.

Thursday students will be playing Element Bingo the first part of the class period to review some of the element symbols and then will have class time to work on the chapter 3 lesson 3 text questions. If they are not completed in class, they are homework.

Friday we will discuss the text questions from Thursday and close out the week by playing another round or two of Element Bingo.

Social Studies:

Monday students will begin class by working on the chapter 6 section 3 review handout. We will spend the second half of class watching a short film titled, "Revolutionary War -- Army of Amateurs".

Tuesday we will be discussing section 4. Students will be learning about the early stages of the American Revolution.

Wednesday students will complete a chapter 6 vocabulary handout in preparation of the unit 2 test. We will also be playing the Player of Fibber review game.

Thursday is test day!

Friday students will receive their graded tests and we will discuss prior to beginning chapter 7.
