Week 9:

Science:

Monday students will take a short quiz on lessons 1 & 2 before beginning the Charles's Law lab. chapter 2 lesson 3 text questions for homework.

Tuesday we will be discussing section 3 -- behavior of gases. Students will also receive the chapter 2 chemistry test study guide.

Wednesday students will take another short quiz on less 3 before partaking in the Boyle's Law lab.

Thursday is test day! Students will receive the chapter 3 lesson 1 text questions for homework.

Friday we will discuss chapter 3 lesson 1 and students will be working on an in-class handout.

Social Studies:

Monday is the unit 1 test!

Tuesday we will begin our study of chapter 6. Students will be learning about the events that pushed us into the Revolutionary War like the Stamp Act, Quartering Act, and Sugar Act.

Wednesday students will receive their graded tests and we will discuss. The final part of the hour will be spent discussing the interesting, and not often told, story behind Paul Revere's famous engraving of the Boston Massacre.

Thursday the students will be learning about the different propaganda that was used leading up to the Revolutionary War and comparing it to modern day examples of propaganda. Students will have the opportunity to create their own propaganda posters that include the elements discussed in class.

Friday students will be watching a short film on the Boston Massacre.
